Terms of service
Effective from publication on 13 September 2026. Policy history and previous versions. The terms agreed when you placed your order remain relevant to that order. Later changes do not retrospectively reduce contractual or statutory rights. Mandatory consumer rights always prevail.
Seller and scope
brontebuell.com is operated by Rothwell & Hughes B.V., trading as Brontë & Buell. Your purchase agreement for orders placed on this website is with Rothwell & Hughes B.V.

These terms apply to purchases from brontebuell.com, including distance orders agreed with us by email or WhatsApp. Product descriptions, expressly agreed specifications and your order confirmation form part of your purchase agreement. Mandatory consumer rights prevail over conflicting wording.
Orders, prices and payment
Prices on this store are in EUR (€). The product specification, total payable price and applicable payment terms are shown at checkout or in your written quotation before you place the order. Check those details carefully and contact us promptly about errors. Additional products or services and associated charges require your express agreement. For bespoke quotations, we confirm the agreed specifications and any applicable withdrawal exception before you commit to purchase.
Production and natural materials
All our products are manufactured after an order is placed. This alone does not exclude the right of withdrawal. Standard catalogue sizes and options remain eligible, including orders placed by email or WhatsApp. Goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded where the statutory exception applies and was explained before purchase. For example, a standard 180 × 90 cm table remains eligible; a 190 × 70 cm table individually commissioned outside our standard catalogue options may fall within the exception. Resale difficulty alone does not determine this. Any exception is identified in the quotation and order confirmation. Faulty, damaged, incorrectly sized or otherwise non-conforming goods retain their statutory remedies.
Marble and travertine naturally vary in tone, veining and texture. Photographs illustrate the stone's characteristics; each piece has its own pattern. Variations consistent with the agreed stone type, finish, description and any expressly agreed characteristics are not, by themselves, defects. This does not excuse damage, the wrong material or finish, or a material departure from the contract. Before dispatch, we provide photographs of your piece for confirmation of its appearance. This confirmation does not waive your statutory withdrawal or faulty-goods rights, or turn a standard catalogue product into a personalised product. Photographs and your confirmation form part of the record of what was agreed.
Delivery
Delivery is free throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom, and takes 6–8 weeks. Delivery and any included assembly services follow the product description or accepted quotation. See our Shipping policy.
Withdrawal, returns and refunds
Eligible standard products have a 14-day statutory withdrawal period after delivery, with cancellation also possible before delivery. We arrange free collection of eligible returns. No automatic 20% deduction or restocking fee applies. Full details, including personalised-goods exceptions, are in our Refund policy.
Product conformity and remedies
Goods must match the contract and meet applicable standards of quality, fitness and durability. Rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or termination/refund apply as provided by law. These are not limited by a voluntary warranty. Natural variation within the agreed characteristics is not by itself a defect, but a general disclaimer does not excuse a non-conforming product. Statutory protection is not subject to a blanket two-year cut-off; in the Netherlands it depends on the product's reasonable expected life.
Website content and privacy
Website content is owned by or used with permission from the relevant rights holders. Purchasing goods does not transfer rights in that content. See our Privacy policy for personal-data processing.
Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protection under the law that would otherwise apply, including that of their country of habitual residence. Nothing restricts rights concerning competent courts or remedies under applicable consumer law. Contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; doing so does not remove other remedies.
